Paul For Ron Paul--The Latest Stuff

If You haven’t been here before, then you’ve probably been used to seeing plenty of sites that are not updated regularly. Weellll, if you’re interested in what’s going on here, I’ve been updating this site nearly every dang day; there are some (who shall remain nameless, at least for now, unless I need a quick revenge) who are thinking I’m a nut case who needs to get a life; that I’m going Ron Paul crazy. Well, it may be true. I HAVE admired the man for an awfully long time, but have never had the wherewithal to help him out. Maybe now I can.  If you like what you see here and want to be informed of any updates, just drop me a line at the email link on the front page and I’ll do it. Aww, hell, I’ll just put the link here: paul@paulforronpaul.com

If you drop me a line I’ll let you know when I have something new here.

Just in CASE you haven’t heard about it, the same guy who created the $4.2M money bomb site and the Dec 16 money bomb site now has a new project going: The Ron Paul Blimp! In just a month’s time he managed to raise the money (coupla hundred Gs) through Internet donations, organized the whole thing, found a blimp as big as the Goodyear Blinp, got it all organized, and it’s now set to launch itself on Tuesday the 11th of December. It should be quite a spectacle, as no presidential candidate has ever had a blimp before.

Ron Paul and his troops invade the Big Apple today, the 13th, and guess what? They get covered on CNN! Here’s the video. It’s pretty good, even though they DID mention his pro-life stance without letting him clarify that he does not support any kind of Federal legislation on this issue, since it’s unconstitutional. Anyway, here’s the video:

Okay, folks, we’re talkin’ a half hour of CSPAN for the good doctor. Are you READY FOR THIS???? Are you ready to have your mind blown by some great mainstream publicity??? Dare I BELIEVE it? By the way, this is October 12, 2007.

CSPAN Part 1 (Is that babe hot, or WHAT?

CSPAN Part 2

Okay, Part 3, it blows MY mind!  I mean, we ARE talkin CSPAN! We ARE talkin PRIME TIME!

Now, we ALSO have PBS today, OCT 12. Here we go:

November 8 on CNN Situation Room with Wolf  Blitzer.

I just LOVE the Rosa Parks thing at the end. I also like what Blitzer’s last words are to Paul.

November 8, KILLER STUFF on CNBC, as Paul RAKES the Fed chief over the coals.

Here’s the interview’s postmortem by the panel of experts.

crisis (from a WSJ interview):

WSJ: "[T]here has been a lot of concern, obviously, about the value of the dollar around the world, and some calls for the U.S. to put more action behind its vow that we support a strong dollar. How do you respond to them, and do you think Treasury needs to intervene at all at this point?"

Bush: "Secretary Paulson, of course, is our main spokesman on this issue, and he reflects the view of this administration that the strong dollar policy is the correct policy. And we also believe that the best way for a currency to become valued is through the market."

WSJ: "That's it?"

Bush: "Yes."

WSJ: "Is the low dollar helping the trade deficit numbers that today were pretty good?"

Bush: "The policy of the U.S. government, when it comes to the dollar, is a strong dollar policy, and that the currency -- the value of the currency needs to be set by the market."

WSJ: "Okay." [End of quote]

And NOW, .....by way of contrast, I would like to present to you an excerpt from today’s Wall Street Journal interview with our CURRENT President, the commander-in-chief of our armed forces, and resident currency genius, George Bush:

Needless to say, this HAS generated a bit of media buzz, even though the thing has yet to even rise off the ground.

FOX News article.

Boston Globe article.

Houston Chronicle article.

USA Today article.

In  Operation Live Free or die, just another grass-roots effort by folks not affiliated with the official campaign in any way, people are uprooting their lives in order to travel from other states as far away as Arizona, to New Hampshire to live hostel-style, and freeze their butts off going door to door to campaign for their guy. I’ve looked, but I haven’t noticed any other campaign getting this kind of support.

Here’s Dr. Paul doing what he does best, just sitting one-on-one in an interview on G4TV with Layla Kayleigh

Bombed if you do, Bombed if you Don't

The latest National Intelligence Estimate has been greeted by a mixture of relief and alarm. As I have been saying all along, Iran indeed poses no quantifiable imminent nuclear threat to us or her neighbors. It is with much alarm, however, that we see the administration continue to ratchet up the war rhetoric as if nothing has changed.

Indeed nothing has changed from the administration's perspective, as they have had this latest intelligence report for some time. Only this week has it been made known to the public. They want it both ways with Iran. On the one hand, they discredit the report entirely, despite it being one of the most comprehensive intelligence reports on the subject, with over 1,000 source notes in the document. On the other hand, when discrediting it fails, they claim that the timing of the abandonment of the weapons program, just as we were invading Iraq, means our pressure must have worked, so we must keep it up with a new round of even tougher sanctions. Russia and China are not buying this, apparently, and again we are finding ourselves on a lonely tenuous platform on the world stage.

The truth is Iran is being asked to do the logically impossible feat of proving a negative. They are being presumed guilty until proven innocent because there is no evidence with which to indict them. There is still no evidence that Iran, a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, has ever violated the treaty's terms – and the terms clearly state that Iran is allowed to pursue nuclear energy for peaceful, civilian energy needs. The United States cannot unilaterally change the terms of the treaty, and it is unfair and unwise diplomatically to impose sanctions for no legitimate reason.

Are we to think that Iran hasn't noticed the duplicitous treatment being received by so-called nuclear threats around the globe? If they have been paying attention, and I think they have, they would see that if countries do have a nuclear weapon, they tend to be left alone, or possibly get a subsidy, but if they do not gain such a weapon then we threaten them. Why wouldn't they want to pursue a nuclear weapon if that is our current foreign policy? The fact remains, there is no evidence they actually have one, or could have one any time soon, even if they immediately resumed a weapons program.

Our badly misguided foreign policy has already driven this country's economy to the brink of bankruptcy with one war based on misinformation. It is unthinkable that despite lack of any evidence of a threat, some are still charging headstrong into yet another war in the Middle East when what we ought to be doing is coming home from Iraq, coming home from Korea, coming home from Germany and defending our own soil. We do not need to be interfering in the internal affairs of other countries and waging war when honest trade, friendship, and diplomacy are the true paths to peace and prosperity.

Ron Paul’s Response to the Latest Intelligence That Iran Dismantled Their Nuclear Program Four Years Ago.

Just in case you hadn’t heard, Ron Paul was not invited to the Fox forum today, January 6, in spite of him having raised more money than any other Republican candidate and having done better in the Iowa caucuses. Sooooo, he just had his OWN town hall meeting instead. He bought some air time and invited a bunch of folks in and had an hour all to himself to express his views. It’s really quite amazing to watch him come out here and talk of things that NONE of the other candidates on either side of the aisle know anything about, and he does it all freehand, with no notes or speechwriters. I guess a couple of decades of studying economics can do that for you. So here they are.
